a. 比較 tend to V / intend to V。
tend to...表『有……傾向;易於∕往往會……』的意思,而 intend to...表『有意要……;打算要……』的意思。
The areas near the river tend to flood easily.
接近這條河的地區經常容易淹水。

b. cholesterol-free, sugar-free, interest-free & duty-free。
以-free 結尾的單字表『無……的;不含……的』,如:cholesterol-free(不含膽固醇的)、sugar-free(無糖的)、interest-free(免息的)及 duty-free(免稅的)。
I prefer to drink sugar-free drinks.

ever 使用在肯定句的用法
ever 主要用於否定句和疑問句,表『曾經』、『以
前』、『從來』等,有強調之意,不可隨意用在肯定句中。用於肯定句時,主要見於以下的用法:
a. 與最高級形容詞並用
若名詞前有最高級形容詞加以修飾時,其後常接由關係代名詞 that(可省略)引導的現在
完成式之形容詞子句,此時完成式助動詞 have / has / had 之後經常可加 ever 予以強調。
Mike is the best student I have ever taught.
邁可是我教過最好的學生。
This is the most exciting movie (that) I have ever seen.
這是我所看過最刺激的電影。
b. 與 if 子句並用
If you ever do that again, I will ground you for a week.
如果你再做那件事,我就會把你禁足 1 個星期。

比較 as much as... / as many as... 的用法
這兩個片語皆可與數字並用,用法如下:
a. as much as... (量)多達……
(用於表不可數名詞的涵義中)
John earns as much as NT$1,000 per hour.
約翰 1 小時賺的錢多達 1 千塊新台幣。
注意
one thousand dollars 為複數名詞,但其所代表的是不可數抽象名詞 money,當修飾 money
時要說 much money,而非 many money,故用 "as much as + 表金錢單位的名詞"。

may / might / must have + 過去分詞的比較
注意
may / might have + 過去分詞表『推測過去可能已經發生的事』,使用 may / might V,表『推測現在或未來可能會或即將發生的事』。而 must have + 過去分詞表『推測過去一定已經發生的事』。
